About Crybaby

One afternoon, Jing walked with her two kids past a schoolyard full of parents. Jing stopped and looked. Her youngest child was sitting in the stroller, while the oldest was standing. He was gripping the fence, looking at all the parents.

The parents were all patiently waiting in the sun for the school bell to ring. Waiting for their children to run out of school.

And then, from out of nowwhere, Jing felt a wave, a tsunami of nauseating jealousy overcoming her. Steaming green, ferociously angry, and insanely jealous, it screamed and hissed at the children running out of school. It was startling, scary and completely bewildering. What just happened?

This poetry book is Jing’s story of the awakening of her inner child and finding her again…. despite she was thought lost, a long time ago.

Reviews

My daughter asked me what the book is about. I told her that the author shared her trauma in poetry format. She has been reading in your book. And now she is starting to write poems herself. She said her English teacher and therapist have been encouraging her. Seeing your book definitely gave her a final push.’

‘About little Jing, who is finally allowed to express herself, with all the emotions that there was no room for before. All the anger, sadness and loneliness come out. The adult Jing catches them and takes care of them. Big and little Jing have finally found each other again and are proving to be a very good duo.’

‘A raw and vulnerable narrative without compromise.
